48 Appointment
(1)
The Chief Health Officer may appoint an employee within the meaning of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 1993 to be an authorised officer.
(2)
However, an appointment under subsection (1) may be made only if the Chief Health Officer is satisfied the employee has the necessary expertise or experience to be an authorised officer.
