73 Review – application by offender
An offender imprisoned on an indefinite sentence may apply to the Supreme Court for the indefinite sentence to be reviewed at any time after the Supreme Court makes its first review under section 72(1)(a), if the Supreme Court gives leave to apply, on the ground that there are exceptional circumstances that relate to the offender.
The court must immediately forward a copy of the application to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Not later than 14 days after the making of the application, the court must give directions to enable the application to be heard.
Subject to any directions given by the court, the application must be heard not later than 28 days from the day on which it is made.
