Transfer of proceedings to Local Court or Civil and Administrative Tribunal
16 Transfer of proceedings to Local Court or Civil and Administrative Tribunal
A party to a civil proceeding may apply to the Court for the proceeding to be transferred to the Local Court or Civil and
Administrative Tribunal if the matters for determination in the proceeding are within the jurisdiction of the Local Court or Tribunal at the time the application is made.
On an application under subsection (1), the Court may, if it considers it proper to do so in all the circumstances of the case, order that the proceeding be transferred to the Local Court or
Tribunal, and may make such other orders as it thinks fit.
Subject to any order of the Court, a transferred proceeding shall be continued in the Local Court or Tribunal as if it had been originally commenced in the Local Court or Tribunal.
