Further relationships

(1)

For this Act, a surviving partner enters a further relationship if the surviving partner marries or enters a de facto relationship.

(2)

For this Act, if a surviving partner enters a further relationship and the parties to the relationship adopt a child who is not a child of the surviving partner, the child is taken to be a child of the further relationship.
