Protection of Ombudsman, Inspector and inspecting officers from liability

In force

(1)

Except as otherwise provided by sections 17A and 18, the

Ombudsman, the Inspector or an inspecting officer does not incur any liability in respect of any act done (or omitted to be done) in good faith:

(a)

in the performance or exercise, or the purported performance or exercise, of any function or power under this Act; or

(b)

in the administration, or the purported administration, of this

Act.

(2)

If subsection (1) prevents civil liability attaching to a person, the liability attaches instead to the Territory.
