39 Notice of impounding
(1)
Where a registered dog with an identification device is delivered to the pound, the manager of the pound shall, as soon as possible, serve on the registered owner a notice in accordance with
Form 5 of the impounding of the dog.
(2)
Where a dog that is registered outside the Municipality is delivered to the pound, and the address of the owner of the dog is apparent to the manager of the pound, the manager shall serve at that address notice in accordance with Form 6 of the impounding of the dog.
(3)
Except in accordance with clause (1) or (2), the manager of the pound is not required to give notice of the impounding of a dog to its owner.
