Tennant Creek (Control of Dogs) By-Laws 1992

A person who is alleged to have contravened or failed to comply with these By‑laws, and on whom a notice of infringement is served, may pay to the Council, as an alternative to prosecution, the sum specified by this by‑law in lieu of the penalty which may otherwise be imposed under these By‑laws.

For the purposes of this by‑law:

the sum specified by this by‑law is $50;

a notice of infringement shall be in accordance with Form 7;

a notice of infringement may be issued by an authorized person;

the sum specified by this by‑law may be paid to the

Registrar or to the Town Manager; and

in order to avoid prosecution, the sum specified by this by‑law shall be paid not later than 14 days after the date of the service of the notice of infringement on the person.
