Traffic Act 1987

(1) The Registrar may, by notice in the Gazette, exempt a person in relation to a particular motor vehicle or a motor vehicle of a class specified in the notice, subject to such conditions, if any, as the Registrar thinks fit, from the application of some or all of the provisions of this Act.

(2) In determining whether to grant an exemption under subsection (1), the Registrar must have regard to the following in relation to the particular motor vehicle or class of motor vehicle:

(b) the likelihood of infrequent use on public streets or public places;

(c) such other special considerations or characteristics of the vehicle as the Registrar thinks fit.
