36 Water investigation permits
Subject to this Act, the Minister may, on the Minister's own initiative or on application in the prescribed manner and form, grant to a person a permit to explore for water.
A permit granted under subsection (1) is subject to such terms and conditions, if any, as are specified in the permit document.
A permit may empower its holder to enter Crown land or private land and to take such measures and carry out such works for the purposes of this Part as are specified in the permit document or prescribed and, subject to this Act, the holder of the permit may, with such workmen and equipment as reasonably required for that purpose, enter the land and do those things accordingly.
A permit shall be granted for such period, not exceeding
12 months, as is specified in the permit document.
