The Minister may establish weed advisory committees for regions, districts or catchment areas of the Territory, for all of the
Territory, or for specific purposes.
A weed advisory committee consists of persons appointed by the
Minister who, in the opinion of the Minister, have expertise or experience relevant to the management of declared weeds or who represent groups or organisations that are concerned with the management of declared weeds or related matters.
The Minister is to appoint a member of a weed advisory committee to be the Chairperson of the committee.
A member of a weed advisory committee holds office for a period not exceeding 3 years specified in the instrument of appointment and is eligible to be re-appointed.
A member of a weed advisory committee may resign by writing delivered to the Minister.
