37 Purpose and application of Part
(1)
The purpose of this Part is to provide a means of diverting youths who are believed on reasonable grounds to have committed offences.
(2)
Except as provided by section 41, this Part does not affect the application in respect of a youth of any law relating to:
(a)
investigating and collecting evidence of criminal activities and the commission of offences; or
(b)
questioning, apprehending, detaining, arresting, charging and bailing a suspected offender; or
(c)
prosecuting a person for an offence.
