173 Requirements about grant of prescribed protected areas in Cape York Peninsula Region
This section applies to the following land if the land is, or includes part of, a prescribed protected area in the Cape York Peninsula Region (the park land)—
transferable land;
land for which the Land Tribunal has, under section 71, made a recommendation to the Minister before the commencement of this section.
Before the park land is granted under this Act, the trustee or proposed trustee for the land must enter into an indigenous management agreement with the State about the management of the park land.
A grant of the park land under this Act is subject to the condition that the park land must become a national park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal land).
In this section—prescribed protected area means—
a national park; or
a resources reserve under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 prescribed by regulation.
