59 How claim is to be made

A claim under this Act must—

(a)

be made by written application to the chief executive; and

(b)

be in the appropriate form made available by the chief executive; and

(c)

include—

(i)

a description of the land claimed and a map showing clearly the location of the land; and

(ii)

a statement of the ground on which the claim is made; and

(iii)

a description of the group of Aboriginal people making the claim; and

(iv)

a statement of the responsibilities in relation to the land that the claimants agree to assume if the land is granted because of the claim.
