Assistance to adoptive parents and others

(1)

The chief executive may make payments, or give other assistance, to an adoptive parent or other person if the chief executive considers it is necessary to do so to ensure the wellbeing and best interests of an adopted child.

(2)

Subsection (1) has effect, in relation to paying an amount, subject to appropriation by Parliament of an amount for the purpose.
