Ambulance Service Act 1991

The office of the commissioner becomes vacant if the commissioner—

dies; or

becomes incapable of continuing as the commissioner; or

furnishes his or her written resignation to the Minister; or

under section 5, ceases to be capable of continuing to be the commissioner; or

is removed from office; or

without the approval of the Minister, engages in any employment outside the duties of the commissioner under this Act; or

is absent from duty for a period of 14 days without lawful excuse.

A resignation given under subsection (1)(c) is not effective until written acceptance of it is given by the Minister.
