26 Employment of staff
(1)
The auditor-general may employ the persons the auditor-general considers necessary for staffing the audit office.
(2)
The staff of the audit office are employed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022.
(3)
Subject to this Act and any relevant industrial instrument within the meaning of the Industrial Relations Act 2016, the conditions of service of the staff of the audit office are those decided by the auditor-general.
(4)
The employment of a member of the staff of the audit office may be—
(a)
full-time or part-time; or
(b)
on a permanent, temporary or casual basis.
