34A Auditor-general must audit particular trusts
(1)
The auditor-general must audit each trust subject to the control of 1 or more public sector entities.
(2)
For subsection (1), a trust is subject to control by 1 or more public sector entities if—
(a)
the trustee of the trust is a public sector entity or 2 or more public sector entities; and
(b)
1 or more public sector entities collectively hold, directly or indirectly, interests in at least 50% of the trust or the assets of the trust.
(3)
An audit of a trust under this section may be conducted as part of an audit of a public sector entity mentioned in subsection (2).
