39 Public guardian
If the public guardian has given written notice of an intention to appear in a CAO proceeding or child protection proceeding under the Child Protection Act, section 108B(2), a reference in these rules to a party in the proceeding is taken to include a reference to the public guardian—
(a)
unless the contrary intention appears or the context requires otherwise; and
(b)
to the extent necessary for the public guardian to perform the guardian’s role in the proceeding under the Child Protection Act, section 108C.
