13 When civil partnership has effect
(1)
A civil partnership entered into as mentioned in section 6(a) has effect when the registrar registers the relationship under section 9(1)(a).
(2)
A civil partnership entered into as mentioned in section 6(b) has effect on the day stated by the registrar under section 12(3).
