70 Appointment of State Coroner
(1)
The Governor in Council may appoint a magistrate, other than an acting magistrate, as the State Coroner.
(2)
The appointment as the State Coroner is for the term stated in the instrument of appointment.
(3)
The stated term must not be longer than 5 years.
(4)
A magistrate may be reappointed as the State Coroner.
(5)
The State Coroner is entitled to the same salary, allowances and employment conditions as the Deputy Chief Magistrate.
