For its functions, the board may enter into an arrangement with a corresponding entity about sharing or exchanging information held by the board or the corresponding agency.

Under the arrangement, the board may disclose information in its possession or under its control unless the disclosure would prejudice the investigation of a contravention or possible contravention of a law or an investigation by a coroner.

However, before disclosing coronial information under the arrangement the board must consult the State Coroner about the proposed disclosure.

In this section—coronial information means information in the board’s possession or under the board’s control that was given to the board by the State coroner.corresponding entity means an entity in another State that performs the same functions, or substantially the same functions, as the boardinformation includes a document.
