306 Authorising volunteer
(1)
The chief executive may, in writing, authorise a person (a volunteer) to perform—
(a)
unpaid work for the welfare of prisoners; or
(b)
unpaid supervision of offenders who are subject to community based orders.
(2)
A volunteer must comply with any condition stated in the authorisation and with any direction given by the chief executive for the security or good order of the corrective services facility.
(3)
A volunteer is entitled to the payment of expenses approved by the chief executive.
