515 Falsely acknowledging deeds, recognisances etc.
Any person who, without lawful authority or excuse, the proof of which lies on the person, makes, in the name of any other person, before any court or person lawfully authorised to take such an acknowledgement, an acknowledgement of liability of any kind, or an acknowledgement of a deed or other instrument, is guilty of a crime, and is liable to imprisonment for 7 years. sch 1 pt 6 div 3 ch 52 s 515 amd 1988 No. 88 s 5 sch 2; 2000 No. 46 s 3 sch
