130 Recounting of votes
At any time before—
a returning officer notifies the election of a candidate under section 131; or
the commission refers a matter to the Court of Disputed Returns under section 128(14);
the commission may direct the returning officer, or another member of the commission’s staff, to recount some or all of the ballot papers for the election.
A returning officer may recount some or all of the ballot papers for an election at any time before the returning officer notifies the election of a candidate.
A person carrying out a recount of ballot papers must, so far as practicable, ensure that the requirements of section 128 are complied with.
This section does not limit by implication section 31(4) or 32(10).
