319A Commission may appoint auditor
The commission may, by instrument, appoint an auditor to conduct an audit of a participant in an election under this division.
An auditor may be appointed to audit any of the following matters—
a claim for election funding made under division 4 by a participant in an election;
a return given to the commission under division 7, 10 or 11 by a participant in an election;
the State campaign account of a participant in an election;
the compliance of a participant in an election with this part generally.
The commission may appoint an auditor to conduct an audit whether or not the commission suspects the election participant has contravened a provision of this part.
