Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2024

This notice may be cited as the Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2024.

This notice commences on 15 August 2024.

The dictionary in schedule 2 defines particular words used in this notice.

Notice of the making of a code of practice named in schedule 1 was given, for section 44(2) of the Act, before 15 August 2024 under the repealed Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2013.

The commencement date stated in schedule 1, column 3 for each code of practice mentioned in column 2 of the schedule is included for information purposes only.

Note—

Under section 44(5) of the Act, a code of practice expires 10 years after its commencement.

If the entry in schedule 1 for a code of practice states that the code of practice has been amended by a ministerial instrument stated in the entry—

the code of practice was amended by the ministerial instrument stated in the entry; and

the inclusion of the amendment in schedule 1 is notice, for section 44(2) of the Act, that the ministerial instrument stated in the entry amending the code of practice has been made by the Minister.

The date stated in schedule 1, column 2 for the amendment of a code of practice is included for information purposes only.

The Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2013, SL No. 276 is repealed.
