Electrical installation with serious defect not to be connected to electricity source

If an electrical installation has a serious defect, a person must not connect the installation to a source of electricity for use for its intended purpose.Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.

(2)

Subsection (1) does not apply to a distribution entity unless the serious defect in the electrical installation is located in a consumer main switchboard or between a consumer main switchboard and the works of the distribution entity.
