193 Employer’s right to refuse or defer long service leave
(1)
An employer may refuse an employee’s application for long service leave if—
(a)
timely notice was not given; or
(b)
the granting of the leave applied for would be unreasonably detrimental to the work of the work unit in which the applicant is employed.
(2)
If the application is refused, the employer must arrange with the employee for the leave applied for to be taken as soon as is mutually convenient.
