53 Declaration of compliance
The proponent must, within 10 business days after the EIS notice is published, give the chief executive a statutory declaration declaring—
whether or not the proponent has complied with the notice requirements under sections 51 and 52; and
the name and address of each person to whom the EIS notice was given under section 51.
A copy of the EIS notice must be attached to the declaration.
The proponent is taken to have complied with the requirements if—
a declaration is given under this section; and
the declaration states the proponent has complied with the notice requirements.
Note—
For what happens if the declaration states the requirements have not been complied with, see section 68 (Substantial compliance with notice requirements may be accepted).
