617 Validation of particular environmental authorities
(1)
This section applies to an environmental authority issued or purporting to have been issued—
(a)
on or after 1 July 1998 and before the commencement of this section; and
(b)
for—
(i)
a mining activity as defined in this Act when the authority was issued or purported to have been issued; or
(ii)
a petroleum activity.
(2)
The environmental authority is taken to be, and to always have been, valid.
