148 Appointment and qualifications
(1)
The chief executive may, by instrument in writing, appoint any of the following persons as inspectors—
(a)
an inspector under the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001;
(b)
an authorised officer under the Biosecurity Act;
(c)
a public service employee;
(d)
other persons prescribed by regulation.
(2)
However, the chief executive may appoint a person as an inspector only if the chief executive is satisfied the person is appropriately qualified for the appointment.
