Publication of standards
16 Publication of standards
When the registrar makes a standard, the registrar must immediately—
gazette a copy of the standard; and
prepare a summary of its terms; and
publish a notice in a newspaper circulating generally in the State—
notifying the making of the standard; and
explaining succinctly the purpose, and intended operation, of the standard.
The registrar must, as soon as practicable after the summary is prepared, give a copy of the summary to each society affected by the standard.
The registrar must take reasonable steps to ensure that copies of all standards are available for inspection and purchase at the registrar’s public office.
Contravention of this section for a standard does not affect the validity of the standard.
