14 Powers of director
The director has the power to do all things necessary or convenient to be done in performing the director’s functions, including the power to—
enter into an arrangement with a person or other entity to assist the director in the performance of the director’s functions; and
establish an advisory committee or subcommittee for the purpose of obtaining expert advice on the performance of the director’s functions.
The director may direct Forensic Science Queensland to—
provide scientific analysis in non-criminal matters in Queensland or other jurisdictions; and
support the administration of criminal justice in other jurisdictions.
For subsection (2)(b), the reference to the Coroners Act 2003 in section 6 includes a reference to a corresponding law of another jurisdiction.
