14D Vacancy in office
The office of a deputy director becomes vacant if the deputy director—
completes a term of office and is not reappointed; or
resigns from office by signed notice given to the Minister; or
is removed from office by the Minister under subsection (2).
The Minister may, for any reason or none, terminate the deputy director’s appointment.
Also, the Minister may, for any reason or none, suspend the deputy director for not more than 6 months by signed notice given to the deputy director.
This section does not limit the Minister’s power under the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, section 25.
