87 Power to give work direction
This section applies if—
a distributor is carrying out, or has carried out, gas infrastructure work on a publicly controlled place; and
the public entity reasonably considers work should be, or should have been, carried out to ensure compliance with a condition imposed under section 81 or an obligation under subdivision 2.
The entity may give the distributor a notice (a work direction) directing the distributor to carry out stated work to comply with the condition or obligation within a stated reasonable period.
The work direction must—
identify the condition or obligation; and
include, or be accompanied by, an information notice about the decision to give the direction.
