Employment of staff

In force

(1)

A board—

(a)

must—

(i)

employ a secretary at all times; and

(ii)

ensure a secretary is employed whenever a vacancy occurs in that office; and

(b)

may employ staff as it considers appropriate to perform its functions or exercise its powers, including, for example, administrative officers, teachers and clerks.

(2)

Staff employed by the board under this section—

(a)

are to be paid the remuneration and allowances decided by the board; and

(b)

are employed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022.
