32 Fees
The fees payable under the Act are stated in schedule 1.
However, the chief executive may, by gazette notice, declare that—
the application fee for a kind of loan is an amount that is less than the fee stated in schedule 1; or
no fee is payable for an application for a kind of loan.
The chief executive may make the declaration only if the chief executive believes that, by reducing or waiving the application fee, the chief executive may achieve or better achieve—
an object of the Act; or
the administration of the Act in a way that has sufficient regard to a guiding principle under the Act.
The chief executive may exempt a person from paying a fee or part of a fee if the chief executive is satisfied the person is suffering hardship.
