263 Mediation by commission
The commission may act as mediator in an industrial cause, whether or not it is within the jurisdiction of the commission—
(a)
on the request of the parties directly involved in the cause; or
(b)
if the commissioner is satisfied mediation of the cause is desirable in the public interest.
