624 Maximum office term for organisation that is not a corporation
(1)
If an organisation is not a corporation, its rules must not allow an officer of the organisation to hold the office for more than 4 years (the maximum term) without re-election.
(2)
However, the rules may extend the maximum term for a period of not more than 1 year to synchronise elections for other offices for the organisation.

This section applies to an organisation if it is incorporated only because of section 611. See section 596(2).
