850 Offences about ballots
A person must not, without lawful authority or excuse, do any of the following about an amalgamation ballot or withdrawal ballot—
obtain or possess a ballot paper if the person does not have the right to obtain or possess it;
pretend to be and vote as someone else;
amend, deface, destroy, interfere with, or remove a ballot record;
vote in the ballot if the person does not have the right to vote;
vote more than once;
forge a ballot record;
utter a ballot record knowing it to be forged;
give a ballot record to someone else;
put a ballot record in a ballot box or other container used for the ballot (also a ballot box) if the person does not have the right to vote;
deliver or post a ballot record to another person performing functions for the ballot if the person does not have the right to deliver or post the ballot record;
destroy, interfere with, open, or remove a ballot box.
Maximum penalty—80 penalty units.
