166B Prohibited inducements
An interactive wagering operator or a person acting for an interactive wagering operator must not offer, or cause to be offered, to a person who is in Queensland (a relevant person) any credit, voucher, reward or other benefit as an incentive for the relevant person—
to open an interactive wagering account with the operator; or
to refer another person to the operator for the purpose of that person opening an interactive wagering account with the operator; or
not to close an interactive wagering account with the operator after the relevant person asks the operator to close the account.
Maximum penalty—
for an individual—20 penalty units; or
for a corporation—200 penalty units.
