143 Adjournment of hearing if warrant to apprehend defendant issued
(1)
When the justices upon the non-appearance of the defendant issue their warrant, they shall adjourn the hearing of the complaint until the defendant is apprehended, and if the defendant is afterwards apprehended under such warrant, the defendant shall be detained in safe custody and shall be brought, as soon as practicable, before a court to be dealt with according to law.
(2)
The complainant shall be given reasonable notice of the time and place at which the defendant will be brought before such court.
