23EA Additional powers of court or justices

(1)

This section is in addition to, and does not limit, any other provision of this Act.

(2)

A court or justices have the following additional powers—

(a)

power to give any direction the court or justices consider appropriate;

(b)

power to direct a party to file and serve stated documents, including affidavits, within a stated time;

(c)

power to make orders to which all the parties to a matter consent.

(3)

When exercising the power under subsection (2)(c), the parties to the matter need not be present.
