This section applies if—

under a registry committal, the clerk of the court at a place orders a defendant to be committed to be tried or sentenced for an indictable offence; and

immediately before the registry committal, the defendant is subject to an order made under section 84(1) (the remand order) providing for the remand of the defendant.

The remand order is continued, and is taken to have been made by the court (the receiving court) to which the defendant is committed for trial or sentence on the terms recorded for the order in the verdict and judgment record as required under the Criminal Practice Rules 1999.

However, the remand order is taken to be varied to require the defendant to be brought before the receiving court as required by the receiving court.

Also, if the clerk of the court amends the charges under section 115(6), the remand order is taken to be made in relation to the charges on which the defendant is committed for trial or sentence under the registry committal.
