214D Failure to comply with remedial action notice
(1)
A lessee or licensee to whom a remedial action notice has been given must comply with the notice unless the lessee or licensee has a reasonable excuse.Maximum penalty—400 penalty units.
Note—This provision is an executive liability provision—see section 431J.
(2)
If a person is convicted of an offence against subsection (1), the court may, as well as imposing a penalty for the offence, order (a remedial action order) the person to comply with all or part of the remedial action notice.
