Land Act 1994

This section applies if a regulatory notice for a restricted use area does not state that a contravention of a requirement of the notice is an offence against this Act and the penalty for the offence.

The chief executive must erect or display at or near the access points to the restricted use area, and at other places the chief executive considers appropriate, a notice (a regulatory information notice) stating—

that a contravention of a requirement of the regulatory notice is an offence against this Act; and

the penalty for the offence.

The regulatory information notices must be placed so at least 1 of them is likely to be seen by anyone who sees a regulatory notice mentioned in subsection (1).

The regulatory information notice may contain any other information about the restricted use area the chief executive considers appropriate.
