249 Offence to give valuer-general false or misleading information

(1)

A person must not give the valuer-general information relating to the administration of this Act that the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular.Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.

(2)

For subsection (1), it does not matter whether the information is given orally or in a document.

(3)

A proceeding for an offence against subsection (1) must start within 1 year after the commission of the offence or its commission comes to the valuer-general’s knowledge, whichever is the later.
