20 Output from refineries
If the Minister is satisfied—
that there is a shortage of liquid fuel of a particular kind; or
that there is reason to anticipate a shortage of liquid fuel of a particular kind;
the Minister may, by notice in writing served on a relevant person who is engaged in the production or refining of liquid fuel of that kind, direct that the relevant person produce or refine in Queensland, during a period specified in the notice, such quantity of liquid fuel of that kind as is specified in the notice.
A relevant person shall not refuse or fail to comply with a direction given to the person under subsection (1) unless that person has reasonable excuse.Maximum penalty—
in the case of a body corporate—$10,000; or
in the case of an individual—$1000.
