256 Transitional provision for amendment of s 171
(1)
This section applies for deciding the penalty for an offence against section 171(1) committed by a person after the commencement.
(2)
Another offence against section 171(1) committed by the person before the commencement must not be counted in deciding whether the offence mentioned in subsection (1) is a first, second, third or later offence against section 171.
(3)
In this section—
commencement means the commencement of section 12 of the amending Act.
