150CH Power to require information
This section applies if an investigator reasonably believes—
an offence against a conduct provision has been committed and a person may be able to give the investigator information about the commission of the offence; or
a person has information reasonably necessary for the investigator to investigate the conduct of a councillor.
The investigator may, by notice given to the person, require the person to give the investigator the information by a stated reasonable time.
When making a requirement of a person under subsection (2), the investigator must give the person an offence warning for the requirement.
For information that is an electronic document, compliance with the requirement requires the giving of a clear image or written version of the electronic document.
In this section—information includes a document.
